The Charmeleon promo blister is one of those small, specific products that quietly catches collectors off guard. Three Chaos Rising packs and a foil promo Charmeleon — a fan-favourite mid-evolution that doesn't usually get the spotlight — make this blister more interesting than its £12-ish retail price suggests.
Charmeleon's appearance as a promo card is a nostalgia play. The original Charmander line is one of the most collected in the entire Pokémon TCG, and any chance to add a new Charmander-line variant tends to move stock faster than other promo blisters in the same format. For collectors building Charizard-line subcollections, the Charmeleon blister isn't optional.
The three Chaos Rising packs are bonus rather than the main attraction — three packs simply isn't a meaningful sample of a 130-card set. But they're not nothing. A Special Illustration Rare or full art ex from one of those three packs would put the whole purchase at a profit, and the base case is still a £12 product with usable cards plus a promo.
UK availability tracks the broader blister channel: Smyths, Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Argos all stock the Charmeleon blister inconsistently. Specialists list it more reliably online but at slightly higher prices once shipping is factored in. If you spot one on a high-street shelf and you collect Charmander-line cards, grab it — they don't hang around.
